Centre for Collaborative Research Across Teacher Education for the 21st Century

The Centre aims to drive research into the continuum of teacher education, to disseminate this research, and to draw on the research to ensure teacher education is subjected to sustained critique and innovation and to inform policy development, pedagogy and programme development.

There are currently over 30 research projects at various stages of completion and which fall into six over-arching themes.

The CREATE21 seminar series was launched on 7th May 2015 and to date, nine research seminars at which researchers have presented their studies, have been hosted on the St Patrick’s Campus. Additionally, 12 of the research projects have been the subject of presentation at conferences and symposia, with two of these being shared at the National Forum for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning. Two publications have arisen from the research and a number of papers are at various stages in the review process. Further details can be found on our Research Outputs page.
