On 12 May 2025, the Dublin European Law Institute and DCU Brexit Institute will host its Annual Lecture, titled “ECJ Case Law and the United Kingdom after Brexit.”

This inaugural annual lecture will explore the continuing relevance of European Court of Justice (ECJ) jurisprudence for the United Kingdom in the post-Brexit era. While the UK has formally left the European Union, the influence of ECJ rulings remains central to key legal and political issues — from the implementation of the Withdrawal Agreement and the Northern Ireland Protocol to broader questions of UK–EU legal interaction.

The event will feature a distinguished lecture by Prof. Andrea Biondi, Advocate General for Italy at the European Court of Justice, Professor of European Law, and Director of the Centre of European Law at King's College London.

📅 Date: 12 May 2025
Time: 14:30 – 16:00
📍 Location: C206, Henry Grattan, DCU Glasnevin Campus
