New Immigration Registration Renewal System

New Immigration Registration Renewal System

Yesterday, the Minister for Justice and Equality, Charlie Flanagan TD, announced a new online system for third-level non-EEA students who are renewing their IRP card.

These students, who will have previously registered with INIS, will be able to renew their immigration permission through a new online application system and will no longer be required to present in person at the Burgh Quay Registration Office of the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service (INIS). They will be able to submit their application and all supporting documentation online, pay the registration fee online and will then have to post their passport to INIS.

It is reported that the new arrangements will come into effect from 26 August 2019 to coincide with the start of the new academic year.
