Non Standard Procurement

It is expected that the standard models of PCs and laptops will meet the requirements of the majority in DCU. However, if you feel that you require specialised computing equipment, the process below can be used to make a case based on your technical requirements.

 

Request submission process

 

  1. Ensure that your requirements cannot be met by upgrades to the standard pc's and laptops before submitting your request.
  2. Collect the details on the specification of equipment required to meet your requirements.
  3. Complete the form below and submit it to the ISS Service Desk - you will receive an email with your submitted form details and a call reference number email.
  4. If all the required information has been submitted you will receive a decision within 2 working days.
  5. If further information is required from you or any testing is required, the decision will be made within 2 working days after gathering all the required information and performing any necessary testing. If testing is required you will be given an estimate as to how long this may take.

Please state the intended purpose of the required pc/laptop, e.g. CAD, video editing.

Please state the specifications required to meet this purpose (due to procurement guidelines, please do not use vendor/brand names (e.g. Intel, NVidia) when specifying hardware components)
