CAO 2025: Dublin City University will welcome over 4,300 new undergraduate students this September
Dublin City University will welcome over 4,300 new undergraduates this September. The university has seen particularly strong interest in many of its Engineering specialisms, Nursing courses, in School of Law and Government (including notably International Relations) and in Journalism, as well as across multiple specific Business, Education and Science programmes.
The university has increased its intake across several high demand courses, resulting in points remaining the same or having dropped in some instances (Computing, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Psychology).
Speaking about the CAO 2025 offers, Professor Daire Keogh, President of Dublin City University said:
“I am delighted to see the continued growth in demand for DCU’s offering, which reflects the excellence of the University’s courses and the student experience. I am also pleased that we have been able to broaden opportunities this year by offering new courses and increasing capacity in high-demand programmes in science and computing subjects.”
We look forward to welcoming first-years in the coming weeks. Whatever course they have chosen, they can be confident that DCU staff are dedicated to providing the ‘transformative experience’ they deserve.”
New courses this year at DCU include the BEd in Home Economics and Technology (delivered jointly with TUS) and the BSc in Chemistry with Artificial Intelligence, which is being offered for direct entry for the first time through the CAO.
