Non-EU Undergraduate Entry Requirements

Please note that the published requirements are the minimum entrance requirements for consideration to a DCU Undergraduate degree programme. In addition to general entry requirements, some programmes may also have a specific course requirement in a specific subject. Please visit the DCU programme pages above to confirm the entry requirements for the programme you are interested in. Applicants must meet the general and programme entry requirements.

Please use the Country and Qualifications table below to determine the qualification which can be considered for  entry to a DCU undergraduate programme.

An official decision on your eligibility to a programme can only be provided once an application along with all required supporting documentary evidence has been submitted before the application deadline.

 

DCU English Language Requirements

In the case of all applications, evidence must be provided of competence in the English language. Please visit the DCU English Language Requirements for further information. Published requirements must be met for entry to all DCU programmes in DCU.

 

Advanced Entry

Applicants currently taking higher education studies at another institution may apply to transfer onto a similar course of study at DCU. Not all courses have an Advanced Entry route and it is competitive process for a small number of places.  When submitting an application for Advanced Entry please also send an email to internationaladmissions@dcu.ie to confirm you wish to be considered for Advanced Entry.

 

Country and Qualifications

If the country you obtained your qualification from does not appear on the list below, then please contact us at internationaladmissions@dcu.ie or alternatively submit an application with your current qualifications or predicted grades to have your eligibility formally assessed by our admissions team.

 

 


International Foundation Programme 

You may need to take a foundation course if you do not satisfy DCU’s minimum entrance requirements. Find out more about how to apply the International Foundation Programme by following this link https://advance.dcu.ie/.

 

Pre-sessional English programmes

If you have a conditional offer of a place at DCU, but don’t satisfy DCU’s English language requirements, you may be able to take a five-week or 10-week pre-sessional English programme on the DCU campus. Once you successfully complete this programme, you can progress to your full-time DCU programme.
