Painting of Kildavnet Tower, Achill Island

Kildavnet Tower Intergenerational Paint Along

To mark Global Intergenerational Week 2023, join artist and AFU participant Mary McCarthy for an intergenerational paint along and recreate "Kildavnet Tower, Achill Island".

We invite grandparents to bring along their children, grandchildren or other family members for a paint along with Mary.

In teams of two you will be recreating the picture using palette knives, oil and acrylic paints. It is recommended that if your partner is a child, they should be over 9 years old.

The event will take place on Saturday 15th April, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on DCU St. Patrick’s Campus, in art room FG24, located behind the library.

The cost of this event is €20 per painting pair which covers the costs of the painting materials and will be collected on the day.

The class is for beginners and is limited to 10 painting pairs.

Please bring along:
- water, snacks, and lunch.
- old rags for cleaning
- apron, old shirt, or tee shirt to cover your clothes
- kitchen roll, baby wipes

Parking is available on campus, but you must cover your parking fees. The venue is wheelchair accessible.
