Ukrainian visit to DCU

We had a wonderful day at DCU with older Ukrainian people from Kilkenny and AFU Participants!

The day started with an exclusive tour of DCU’s campus with the Students Ambassadors that were delighted to tell us about life at DCU.

Then, after getting acquainted during a great lunch, everyone returned to listen to a heartfelt speech from AFU Coordinator Christine O’Kelly and Marie Carroll from the Irish Red Cross, and to enjoy wonderful Irish music by the band Saoirse! Some of our guests even sang beautiful Ukrainian songs and went on stage to dance with the musicians!

The day was full of surprises, and we had a lot to learn from our guests! This visit was a perfect example of how education and sharing can bring us joy. We're so grateful to have shared this special day with our new friends!
