Class of 2005:
Two dissertations presented by students on taught Masters programmes in 2005
merited special commendation from internal and external examiners and are
presented here as examples of high-quality student work. Nora Shovelin submitted
a dissertation on the nationalist journal of the 1890s,
Shan Van Vocht, for the Masters in Political Communication. Freya McClements
submitted a dissertation on two bans on the Derry
Journal in the 1930s and 1940s for the Masters in Journalism.
