Fifth Annual Postgraduate Conference in Humanities and Education

Fifth Annual Postgraduate Conference in Humanities and Education

The Fifth Annual Postgraduate Conference in Humanities and Education will be held in Dublin City University (DCU) on Friday May 8th 2015.

The conference is co-organised by DCU, Church of Ireland College of Education, Mater Dei Institute of Education and St Patrick’s College, Drumcondra.

The purpose of the conference is to provide postgraduate students currently engaged in Master's degrees by research and Ed.D/ PhD degrees with an opportunity to take part in an academic conference with their peers and the academic community across the four institutions. As in previous years, a special feature of the Conference will be a keynote address by an eminent invited speaker on an issue pertinent to the concerns of researchers and the postgraduate community. As part of our commitment to promote postgraduate research, we are also planning to publish a conference proceedings/edited book.

We are now calling for proposals from postgraduate students working in the broad areas of Humanities and Education across all four campuses. Proposals should be no more than 200 words and should outline the core aspect/s of the paper to be presented. (Presentations will be no more than 20 minutes in length)

Proposals, in English or Irish, using the Conference Proposal Template document should be emailed as an attachment to michael.oleary@dcu.ie by 5 pm on Monday April 20th 2015. The attached document filename should be in the form: Your Surname, Your First Name.
