Irish Humanities Alliance meets in DCU

The quarterly board meeting of the Irish Humanities Alliance (IHA) took place in DCU earlier this week. Formed in September 2013 the IHA is a joint initiative of eleven higher education and research institutions on the island of Ireland including DCU. The Alliance is working to generate public awareness about the importance of humanities teaching and research. The IHA is currently chaired by Prof. Daniel Carey from NUIG. DCU is represented on the board by Prof. Kevin Rafter, Associate Dean for Research in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Prof. Michael Cronin.
