Travel Tips

Dublin airport

Before arriving at Dublin Airport, take some time to familiarise yourself with it by clicking on the following link http://www.dublinairport.com/at-airport/airport-maps/

If you come from outside the EU/EEA you will be requested to complete a landing card with your personal details. You will need to hand this in to the Immigration Officer at Passport Control in Dublin Airport. You may also be asked for the following documents which we advise you to have in your hand luggage so they can be checked quickly and easily.

Before you leave home check that you have the following documents with you:

Non-EU Students:

  • Passport
  • Entry Visa (if applicable)
  • Evidence of Private Health Insurance
  • Acceptance letter from the Registry in DCU
  • Letter from DCU, stating that you have paid your fees in full

EU/EEA Students:

  • Passport
  • European Health Insurance Card
  • Acceptance letter from the Registry in DCU

Luggage collection:

Once you have cleared immigration you may collect your luggage and proceed to Customs. There are three routes: a green route if you have nothing to declare, a red route if you have something to declare and a blue route if you are an EU citizen.

If you encounter any problems on arrival, contact the International Office at +353-1-7007411 or DCU Main Reception at +353-1-7005000
