
How to apply to DCU
Undergraduate

If you’re from outside the EU, complete this application form: non-eu-ug-application-form-io-10_0.docx
If you’re from an EU country, apply through the Central Applications Office (CAO) in Ireland. Check this CAO guide to entry requirements first.
The deadline for undergraduate applications is 1 July.
Postgraduate
Apply through the Postgraduate Applications Portal. A fee of €50 applies. Make sure you read all the instructions carefully before you start your application.
The steps you need to follow
- Create Account
- Complete application form
- Submit application and pay application fee
- Upload Supplemental items (documents)
Once you have completed your application you will receive updates from the International on the progress of your application.
The deadline for postgraduate applications is 1 July in any given year.
PhD & Research
You can apply at any time to be a researcher at DCU. Visit the DCU Graduate Studies Office for more information.

International Foundation Programme
You may need to take a foundation course if you do not meet DCU’s minimum requirements. Find out more about how to apply to DCU foundation programmes.
Pre-sessional English programmes
If you have an offer of a place at DCU, but don’t meet DCU’s English language requirements, you may be able to take a five-week or 10-week presessional English programme on the DCU campus. Once you successfully complete this programme, you can progress to your full-time DCU programme. Click here.
