Selecting Modules

  • Identify your stream of study and select modules available. At least 80% of your credits must come from your Faculty.
  • Ensure the modules you select run in your chosen period of study (Fall or Autumn is Semester 1 and Spring is Semester 2, Full Year is 0).
  • Consider the assessment structure: Some modules are 100% continuous assessment (CA), some 100% exam-based, and some combine CA with an end-of-term exam. Semester 1 exams take place in January so if you will travel home during the winter break but do not wish to return to DCU select only 100% CA modules.
  • Confirm that the modules you choose are acceptable to your home university
