Head Start Programme
Welcome to DCU’s Head Start Programme—designed especially for incoming mature students who are taking the exciting leap into university life. We know it can feel overwhelming at times, and this programme is here to help you settle in, build confidence, and get ready for what’s ahead.

Orientation
The Head Start programme offers incoming mature students the space to focus on transitioning to third level life. This transition involves many exciting opportunities but can also offer some challenges both academically and personally.
The first Head Start event is a Q and A session the week of the 14th of July. Incoming Mature students will be able to talk to Access support staff about what to expect and what supports will be available.
The Mature Orientation will take place on Monday 1st September on Glasnevin campus.
The Head Start Online Programme has 6 online courses available on the student portal.
