We have listed the steps you will need to take from now until we welcome you in September 2024.

You should accept your offer as outlined in your offer letter, through the DCU Application Portal

After an offer has been accepted, you will receive an email to explain how to set up your DCU Account and Access DCU systems. 

This happens on a rolling basis and all students will receive this information before the start of term. 

Once you complete the process, you will receive your personal DCU email address and create a password. 

You will require this account to access DCU systems, to register for your course and to pay fees. 

Should you have any questions about accessing DCU systems, please contact DCU’s Digital Technology Solutions Team (DTS).

Before coming to DCU, you must register online for your course and your modules and pay your fees.

You’ll need the registration information and instructions from Step 2 to do so.

Registration for first year postgraduate students, including Postgraduate Research, takes place from Wednesday 20 August.

Student ID Cards

Once Registration has been completed, you can order your ID card online by following the instructions here. Or alternatively, visit the Registry offices on either the Glasnevin or St Patrick’s campus.

After you register and pay your fees in August 2025, you will have access to 'My DCU-PG’ on the Loop platform designed to support your university experience. 

Now that most of the serious work is done, you can start exploring all that DCU has to offer!

Fees should be paid as part of the online registration process, as outlined under Step 1.

If your employer  is paying your fees, please complete this form. You can also designate a third party to pay online as part of the online fee payment process. 60% of your fees must be paid at this time, and the balance of 40% on or before Monday 26th January 2026.

If you have a SUSI grant, you are required to pay 60% of the total fees less the €5,000 (Levies not included) SUSI award. You must have your SUSI application number during the registration process.

Check out Student Support & Development's guide to Postgraduate Orientation at www.dcu.ie/orientation.  Shortly after  registration, you will be able to log in to 'My DCU-PG’ (the online orientation programme designed to support your student experience) on the Loop platform.

Programme Specific Orientation information will be available on the Orientation page or you may a be contacted by your Head of Programme so please check your email.

Alumni Discount

DCU offers a 10% reduced fee scheme exclusive to all DCU graduates and outgoing final year students. It applies to any full time or part time taught Masters Programme for the 2025/26 academic year. The discount will be applied upon your payment of the second instalment of your fees in January.

Your programme chairperson will be in touch closer to the start date (8 September) to welcome you to the programme.

Faculties are working hard to finalise timetable details and we hope to get them to you as soon as possible
