Registration Grace Period (2nd March to 31st July)
The registration grace period applies to Year 1 Postgraduate Research students who are admitted, registered and commence their research between 2nd March - 31st July. Students who register between these dates are not liable for research fees until the commencement of the next academic year. Students who do register between 2nd March and 31st July must also register again (as Year 1) when online registration opens for the new academic year in September.
Students who have commenced, but have not completed their admissions and registration as a research student by 31st July, will not be able to register for the current academic year. They will instead register when the registration cycle for new students opens in September.
New incoming postgraduate research students will fall under two registration types:
- Students registering during the grace period are required to register themselves in the first instance. They must register for Year 1 again themselves when Semester 1 online registration opens.
- Students who accept their offers after the grace period has ended, but before Semester 1 commences, must register themselves during the Semester 1 online registration period.
