EU Pay

EU applicants are required to pay a deposit for their programme at the time of accepting their offer within PAC.

Please note acceptance of an offer will only be validated on receipt of payment.

Schedule of payments for EU Postgraduate Applicants

The current fees for EU postgraduate applicants are finalised and updated on our website in early August each year. It is the responsibility of all PAC applicants to monitor our website to obtain the correct fee for their programme. This link will be updated in early August when the  new fees are announced.

Please be aware that once a PAC offer has been made you have two weeks to accept that offer and make payment of the deposit of €500.00 within PAC. Please note that you are unable to accept your offer without making payment of the deposit.

It is important to note that DCU Fees office will not enter into arrangements regarding the payment of €500.00 deposit and payment is expected on time.

A further payment is due by all EU PAC applicants prior to registration in September. The amount of this installment is dependent on the total cost of your programme, however you must have paid at least 60% of your total course fee prior to registration.  Please note that the €500.00 you would have paid in order to secure your place earlier in the year is part of this 60%.  It is the responsibility of all PAC applicants to ensure they have paid the appropriate fee.

The final installment of your fees is due for payment in January, again we ask that you check the fees website to familiarise yourself with the appropriate fee.

2. Higher Education/Local Authority Grants

Students applying for Higher Education Grants should note the following:

Postgraduate applicants in receipt of grants from Local Authorities or Vocational Education Committees are required to produce official notification at registration that a grant has been awarded. Proof of application for a grant is not sufficient. Where a grant has not yet been awarded the student must pay the relevant instalment and will be reimbursed once the University has received payment from the Local Authority.

Students who are resident within the European Union may qualify for grant assistance under the Higher Education Grant schemes. Applicants are assessed for eligibility on the basis of their means/income. Applicants resident in Ireland should contact their Local Authority or VEC. Other European Union Applicants should refer to the Dublin City Council website for further information and application details.

3. Employer Funding

Applicants being funded by their employers should pay the relevant installment by Bank Draft, drawn by their employer. Letters from employers confirming that such payment will be made are NOT acceptable. In such circumstances, applicants should pay the fees themselves and make their own arrangements with their employer for reimbursement. Employers should be advised that fees are payable in two payments and that the amount being paid when accepting an offer represents a deposit only. Drafts should be made payable to "Dublin City University". The following details (name, PAC Application Number and title of programme) should be written on the back of the draft. The bank draft should be posted to Student Fees, Finance Office, Dublin City University, Dublin 9.

Please keep a copy of the bank draft for your own records.
