Incomplete Documentation
Thank you for your application for postgraduate study with Dublin City University (DCU). Your application cannot be processed further until you have submitted any supporting documentation required in accordance with the instructions outlined below.
Supporting Documentation - Personal Statement
You may complete a Personal Statement to support your online application. This should be completed in writing and posted along with other supporting documents to the Postgraduate Applications Centre.
Supporting Documentation - Specific Programme Requirements
Some programmes have specific course requirements that were outlined when you applied online. These are also available when you log into your application account on the Postgraduate Applications Centre (PAC) website. Specific course requirements must be submitted as part of the application process.
Supporting Documentation - Transcripts of Examination Results
** This section is important. Your application cannot be processed if you fail to comply with this section **
Certified copies of official transcripts of results for your last two years of study must be submitted plus certified copies of documentation evidencing completion of any other qualification/award MUST be posted to the Postgraduate Applications Centre. Copies of originals must be certified as true copies by the local law enforcement authority. e.g. Garda Siochana. These copies will be kept by the Postgraduate Applications Centre / Dublin City University and not returned to the applicant. Original documentation should not be forwarded and will not be returned.
Candidates who are currently studying or have previously studied at Dublin City University are NOT required to submit transcripts of results for studies at Dublin City University
Evidence of of previous awards /examination results which are in a language other than English MUST be accompanied by a translation into English PLUS a copy of the original certificate indicating the award. All translations must be carried out by a professional translator and certified as such. Applicants may also wish to refer to the comparability service offered by Qualifications Recognition - Ireland at http://www.qualificationsrecognition.ie/recognition/ to determine whether their award is equivalent to the entry requirements for the course to which they are applying. An assessment of your overseas qualifications by Qualifications Recognition - Ireland does not gurantee admission to Dublin City University.
Supporting Documentation - Evidence Of English Language Competency
Evidence must be provided of competence in the English language in the case of applicants who are non-native speakers of the English language.
Details on the minimum standards acceptable are available here . Documentary evidence supporting same should be submitted to the Postgraduate Applications Centre.
Supporting Documentation - Future Examination Sittings
If final examinations have not been completed or if English Language competency tests are being sat at a future date, you should submit these results to the Postgraduate Applications Centre as soon as they are available.
Supporting Documentation - Instructions for Submission
When submitting all supporting documentation, please ensure that you PRINT your PAC Number on each page of the documentation that you submit.

In the event that your application is successful, you may be required to present original documentary evidence supporting previous studies and evidence of english language competency. Such a requirement would be expected at the time of registration.
