New Students
You will be contacted by the University with registration information. Students applying through the CAO will be contacted in early September.
Continuing Students
Registration information is available via your student portal page if you are a continuing student. Most Continuing Students will be registering Online (link for students who cannot register).
Registration Process
Registration will take place on campus at the start of Semester one for 1 st Year Students.
The documentation you need for registration:
- Bank Giro
- R34 form (Application to register as a Repeat Student/Application to register for Deferred Modules)
- At the time listed on the timetable for your class group only.
- If you cannot attend the time listed on the timetable you must register on the late registration date of 29 th September 2006 (9.30-1.00) , or a late registration fee of €120 will apply.
- With the bank giro stamped to confirm payment of fees
- With a printout of your registration schedule, or other form as appropriate, completed and signed.

Appeals
If you have submitted an appeal and if at the time of registration you have not received the outcome of this appeal, you must register on the basis of your current status i.e. if you have failed modules, you must register to repeat these modules. Once you have received confirmation of the decision of the Appeals Board, you can correct your registration details at anytime during the registration period by bringing a copy of the letter from the Appeals Board to the Registration venue or to the Registry after 29 th September 2006 .
Postal Registration
NB Postal Registration is only for students spending the next academic year off campus e.g. on a Year Abroad/Intra/Royal Irish Academy of Music/Plasma Vacuum/Turning Point students/ BSc in Nursing programmes Year 4 only/MSc in Nursing programmes. All other students should refer to the Registration Timetable and Schedules online at http://www.dcu.ie/timetables/index.shtml . Registration by post is not permitted for those students included in the Registration Timetable.
If you are spending the next academic year off campus e.g. Year Abroad/Intra, you are required to register at DCU by post on or before 29 th September 2006 . Failure to register on or before this date will result in a late registration fee of €120 .
Please note that you will NOT receive a Registration Pack by post. Registration schedules will need to be downloaded from the DCU website at http://www.dcu.ie/registry/schedules.php3
Please return completed registration schedule to
Student Enrolment, Registry, DCU, Glasnevin, Dublin 9. (Please note registration schedules will not be accepted by email).
DCU Dublin City Centre Club Form (For Postal Registration Only)
As many students return to campus during the academic year and are unable to access the campus bars, the Students' Union has requested that all students are given the opportunity to join at the beginning of the year. If you wish to join, please return the DCU Dublin City Centre Club membership form (PDF) with a cheque/bank draft payable to ( Registry Office Dublin City University for €12. Unfortunately, it is not possible to use the bank giro form for this purpose.
Under no circumstances email this form to Dublin City University .
Late Registration
Late Registration Fees apply from 1.00pm on Friday, 29 th September 2006 until 5.00 pm on Friday, 27 October 2006 . Outside office hours, completed forms can be submitted via the postbox located outside the Registry.
NO REGISTRATION IS PERMITTED OUTSIDE THE PUBLISHED DATES.
Registration Confirmation and ID card
After registration you will receive a confirmation printout of your Student Enrolment. This printout will have your DCU computer username and password, allowing access to all information on your student portal page, including your examination results. Please retain this Enrolment Confirmation Printout for reference . The printout also contains your email address. The University will use this email address to contact you so check it regularly. You will also receive your student id card.
