Withdrawal from your programme

R27 - Notification of withdrawal from DCU 

If you are registered for the current academic year 2025/2026, you will need to withdraw officially from the University by completing the form below;

 

Please note that if you are awaiting results for Semester 1, there may be a delay in your withdrawal request being processed until after results have been published (11th Feb 2026). Your withdrawal date will be backdated to the day of submission of request.

Important: If your programme involves a School Placement please confirm that you have notified the School Office.

Please provide an Alternative Email Address as your DCU email will be terminated as part of the Withdrawal process.  Notification of your withdrawal will be sent to this email address.

Are you in receipt of a SUSI grant or other type of grant

If 'Yes' it is your responsibility to contact SUSI and advise them that you have Withdrawn from DCU.

Please note if you are in reciept of a grant, the Registry will contact your local authority to advise them that you have withdrawn from your programme for the Academic Year

I, the above named am withdrawing as a student from DCU and will not complete my programme. I confirm that I have paid all my debts to the university and that I am not in possession of any books belonging to the University Library. I also agree to surrender my Student ID Card. I understand that any credits I have accumulated (from passed modules) will be retained and that I may apply for approval to re-register in DCU following consultation with relevant DCU staff members.
