European R&I days 2020 

The European Commission’s annual flagship event, the European Research and Innovation Days, is taking place 22-24 September, fully virtual, free of charge and open to all. It is a unique opportunity to discuss how research and innovation can benefit the future of Europe, just ahead of the launch of Horizon Europe (the next research and innovation programme) and a revitalised European Research Area.

The event includes a Policy Conference; R&I Hubs; Horizon Europe co-design sessions and the Science is Wonderful! exhibition. You can check the Agenda and register here.

Horizon 2020 European Green Deal call and national event

The Green deal call will open this September, with a closing date at the end of January 2021. 1 Billion Euro will be available to fund 20 topics, including areas such as energy, climate-neutral cities, citizen empowerment, transport and the circular economy.

Enterprise Ireland, in conjunction with EEN, Invest NI and NI NCP’s, is organising an online information seminar and brokerage event on the 13th October (registration here). The event is open to participants from across Europe.

Online mapping of technology centres working on Advanced Technologies for Industry 

The European Commission (DG GROW) is currently mapping Technology Centres active in Advanced Technologies for Industry (ATI) in Europe. The mapping is part of the European Commission’s policy to promote more cooperation between Technology Centres across Europe. Main target: Technology Centres willing to work with SMEs and industry and working on technologies such as AI, Big data, connectivity, blockchain, robotics, micro and nanoelectronics, advanced manufacturing technologies, photonics, industrial biotechnology etc. More information is available here .
