We are organising an information session on the IRC Laureate Awards programme on the 30th of June, 11-12 noon via Zoom.
At the information session we will give you a brief overview on the Laureate awards scheme, eligibility criteria and the assessment process. To attend this information session please register here.
This call is specifically for early and mid-career researchers and is aimed at enhancing their track record and international competitiveness. In addition to the benefits for the awardee and their team, it is anticipated that the award will enhance the potential for subsequent ERC success as a further career milestone.
The IRC Starting and Consolidator Laureate Awards Programme 2021 is currently open for Expression of Interest (EoI) and the deadline for submission of an EoI is 27th of August. Applicants are required to submit an EoI by the 27th of August without which they will not be allowed to submit the full proposal at the call deadline of 10th November.

IRC will also be hosting a webinar on the 2021 Starting and Consolidator Laureate call. The webinar will cover the following: Programme Overview (incl. eligibility); Application Process and Evaluation. There will be an opportunity to submit questions via the chat function throughout. The questions will later be addressed in an FAQ document to be published in the call webpage.

The All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care (AIIHPC) is hosting a research impact webinar ‘COVID-19 and pandemic response in palliative care’ with Dr Mevhibe B Hocaoglu (King’s College London) on the CovPall research study‘. The COVPall study was a rapid evaluation of the COVID-19 pandemic response in palliative and end of life care that included looking at national delivery, workforce and symptom management. The study also highlighted the importance of palliative care within the Covid-19 pandemic. The webinar provides an opportunity to hear more about how research can impact policy and practice.

Brokerage events for the Horizon Europe Programme are taking place during June and July. These international partnering events are a great opportunity for anyone interested in applying to the 2021 calls of the 2021-2022 Horizon Europe Work Programmes. This info day aims to inform (potential) applicants about topics included in Cluster 2 - Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Societies. This Horizon Europe Info day will be open for participation without prior registration.
This cluster aims to strengthen European democratic values, including rule of law and fundamental rights, safeguarding our cultural heritage, and promoting socio-economic transformations that contribute to inclusion and growth.

The MSCA Info Day is an online event on 1st July that will present the MSCA programme under Horizon Europe and encourage organisations and researchers to apply. Participants will learn about the changes under Horizon Europe and how the MSCA will be simplified to make it easier to understand, implement and to apply for funding.
The session is open to researchers, higher education institutions, research institutes, research funding agencies and many other organisations currently involved in the MSCA or interested in applying to future funding calls for the first time. Private sector organisations and other socio-economic actors are also encouraged to attend and become acquainted with the opportunities the MSCA provide for intersectoral cooperation.

Representatives of The Fulbright Commission Ireland will host a webinar in conjunction with the Health Research Board to detail the awards available and how to succeed at the application stage. The presentation will be followed by a questions and answers session.
Fulbright Health Research Board (HRB) HealthImpact Awards enable successful applicants to undertake research or professional development in any area of health. Applications from health professionals, senior health research administrators, health research managers and researchers are welcome, particularly in the areas of research management in a healthcare setting, development & implementation of institutional health research strategies, public and patient involvement in health research, health services and health systems research, implementation research, and health research policy.
