Research Newsletter - Issue 65: Funding Opportunities
The following funding opportunities are now open:
The IRC Starting and Consolidator Laureate Awards Call is now open for submission of Expression of Interests (EoI). This call is specifically for early and mid-career researchers and is aimed at enhancing their track record and international competitiveness. In addition to the benefits for the awardee and their team, it is anticipated that the award will enhance the potential for subsequent ERC success as a further career milestone.
The call is divided into two types of awards:
- Starting Laureate awards: Applicants should have been awarded their PhD at least 3 and up to 8 years prior to 10 November 2021. The aim of the Starting Laureate Award is to enable early-career researchers who have already produced excellent supervised work and are ready to work independently. The maximum award value is €400,000.
- Consolidator Laureate awards: Applicants should have been awarded their PhD at least 8 and up to 15 years prior to 10 November 2021. The aim of the Consolidator Laureate Award is to enable excellent mid-career researchers with an established track record to consolidate their own research programme or team. The maximum award value for Consolidator awards is €600,000.
The deadline for submission of EoIs is 27th August and all EoIs have to be submitted via the Research Support office. Submission of an EoI is essential prior to submission of the full proposal. The deadline for submission of the full proposal is 10th November.
