The DOROTHY postdoctoral Fellowship call is slated to launch in early March. Ahead of the launch the funders are organising an online seminar about how interdisciplinary and intersectoral collaboration in research can tackle global public health crises. It is a great opportunity for prospective postdoctoral researchers from all disciplines (Humanities, Social Science and STEM) to learn more about both the DOROTHY COFUND programme and interdisciplinary research into public health crises.
The seminar will include a keynote from Professor Trish Greenhalgh, followed by a panel discussion with representatives including from the Irish Research Council, the Health Research Board and the Environmental Protection Agency. The Council will also deliver a presentation on the upcoming DOROTHY COFUND programme, which aims to create a platform for interdisciplinary research into public health crises that supports and enables communication and cooperation among researchers, public health authorities, industry, policy makers, the healthcare system and the public.
The programme will recruit, train and launch the careers of 25 excellent fellows, who will be experienced researchers, through 36-month fellowships via two calls.
The seminar is scheduled on Tuesday, 22 February from 2-4pm.
