Research Newsletter - Issue 82: President's Awards 2023
The call for nominations for the President's Award for Research and Research Impact Awards 2023 is now open.
This year we will combine the President's awards in research, and impact/innovation into a single ceremony, with the prizes being presented on the morning of Wednesday 31st May 2023.
The President's Research Awards 2023
These awards recognise outstanding research achievements by DCU staff. Nominations can be made in the following three categories:
- President's Research Award for research in the Humanities and Social Sciences, Business, Education and related areas.
- President's Research Award for research in the Natural Sciences, Health, Engineering and related areas.
- President's Research Award for 'early career' academic and research staff is open to all disciplines, and to those on academic or research contracts, who are up to eight years post PhD.
The President’s Research Impact Awards 2023
These awards recognise and reward those whose research at DCU has led to excellent impact outside of academia. This impact could be in commercial, economic, social, cultural or public policy fields.
Nominations can be made to either of two separate categories:
- Realised Research Impact - awards in this strand will recognise research impact where demonstrable and evidenced change has already been achieved.
- Early-stage Research Impact - awards in this category will recognise work that demonstrates promising nascent research impact.
