SFI will be hosting an information webinar on the upcoming SFI Research Centres programme call. This engagement will be an important opportunity for stakeholders to become informed about an upcoming call of the SFI Research Centres programme, and changes that have been developed in response to previous stakeholder input. This engagement will provide an opportunity to explore several areas where SFI would welcome further feedback on this upcoming call.
SFI is developing a new model for the SFI Research Centres programme which will include:
- An enhanced focus on research excellence
- A cohort approach to PhD training
- An 8-year award duration
- A flexible cost share model, which will recognise exchequer funding
The webinar builds on the consultations that have been carried out so far. It is part of a series of engagements with the Irish research and higher education community, before the launch of a new call for SFI Research Centres later this year. The meeting will involve presentations from SFI, along with an opportunity to ask questions on the programme. We will also set up a system for further feedback.
A link to register is available here.
Please note there is a limit to the spaces available in the webinar. These will be allocated on a first come first served basis, so please register soon. A recording will be made available after the event on the SFI website.
