Dr Kirrane is Associate Professor of Organisational Psychologist and gained her degrees in Psychology, Organisational Psychology and Psychoanalysis from the National University of Ireland and The Queen's University of Belfast. She is a Registered and Chartered Organisational Psychologist and is Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. Her teaching is within the field of Organisational Psychology, focusing on Leadership and Change Management at postgraduate level. She designed and developed the new Leadership Development for Women programme which is operated within the DCU Centre for Executive and Internaltional EducatonHer research interests include employee silence, dark leadership and toxic personality. Her work has been published in  the Journal of Occupational and Organisational Psychology, HRD Quarterly, Journal of Change Management and The Journal of Managerial Psychology. She engages in organisational consulting projects on an on-going basis  across a range of professional services firms. She has also worked with a number of government departments in the areas of leadership, employee selection and organisational change. She has led a 5-year study of female leadership in Ireland for the 30% Club. Melrona is Professor of Leadership at PNU, Riyadh and is visiting Professor of Strategy & Change at Danube University, Vienna.  She is the DCU representative on the Council of Ireland's chapter of the 30% Club and is a member of DCU Research Ethics committee.  Melrona is a highly sought-after speaker at industry conferences and has been keynote speaker at the Small Firms Association, IBEC, Zurich, Ericsson, Eir, Women in Business Network and the Retail Federation of Ireland. Her work has featured in The Irish Times and The Sunday Business Post and she is frequently a guest on RTE 'The Business' programme.
