Sara is an Assistant Professor in Children’s Nursing within DCU’s School of Nursing, Psychotherapy & Community Health (SNPCH), where she also serves as Programme Chair for the Higher Diploma in Children’s Nursing. She is a Registered General Nurse, Registered Children's Nurse and Registered Nurse Tutor, and has completed further studies in Trinity College Dublin and the University of Ulster. Sara has extensive experience in nurse education having worked as a clinical education facilitator, and nurse tutor in Children's Health Ireland, Temple Street, and lecturer in nursing in DCU since 2006. Her clinical and academic background grounds her in children’s health, education of nursing professionals, and the translation of research into practice to improve outcomes for children, families and the nursing workforce.
