Niamh is an assistant professor in the school of Language, Literacy and Early Childhood Education (LLECE) where she lectures in the area of Literacy to undergraduate and postgraduate students .
Niamh has more than ten years experience teaching at primary school level in DEIS schools.

Research Interests 
Niamh's  interests include literacy in the context of educational disadvantage; dialogic approaches to literacy; writing pedagogy, project-based learning, literacy across the curriculum, critical literacy pedagogy, literacy assessment in higher education.
She is currently completing doctoral studies in the University of Sheffield.
