Fiona O'Riordan
Dr.
Dr. Fiona O’Riordan, SFHEA, works as an Academic Developer in the Teaching Enhancement Unit at DCU. She has vast teaching experience in higher education across a host of programmes including Business, Computer Science and Education. Fiona is one of the founding members, and current committee member of the Irish Conference on Engaging Pedagogy (ICEP). She is one of two DCU National Academic Integrity Network (NAIN) members. In November 2022 Fiona began a four-year secondment with the European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU) as Educational Portfolio Coordinator.
Fiona's current work areas are Challenge-Based Learning (including Hackathons), and assessment design to promote academic integrity with a particular focus on Interactive Oral Assessment. Her research areas include assessment; challenge-based learning; academic integrity; and curriculum development.
