Hsiao-Ping Hsu
Dr.

Dr. Hsiao-Ping Hsu is an assistant professor in the school of STEM Education, Innovation and Global Studies at the DCU Institute of Education. Hsiao-Ping obtained his Ph.D. degree in learning technologies from the University of Texas
at Austin, and his primary research interests include digital learning, teacher technology
integration, digital literacy education and technology-rich instructional design.
He has first authorized two articles in leading academic journals and contributed 20 presentations at internationally and nationally peer-reviewed conferences. Hsiao-Ping is also a Fulbright scholar and has significantly contributed to the knowledge exchange between Taiwan and the United States by research presentations and invited talks. Before starting his scholarly career, Hsiao-Ping was a post-primary geography teacher with six-year teaching experience in Taiwan.
Hsiao-Ping has won 20 internationally and nationally prestigious research and innovation awards, including 2019 Outstanding Graduate Student Research Fellowship in Technology Innovation and Application from the Foxconn Education Foundation, 2018 Nova Southeastern Award for Outstanding Student Practices in Instructional Design from the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT), 2018 Outstanding Student Practice of Educational Technology in an International Setting from the AECT and 2018 Reimagine Education Award – Bronze Winner of Virtual/Augmented Reality Category.
