Volunteer Helpdesk

Taking place every second Tuesday in the U Building from 12-2pm, the Volunteer Helpdesk provides a chance for a charitable or civic organisation, or local community group, to chat with students face-to-face.

The Volunteer Helpdesk provides a space for volunteer-involving organisations to increase students' awareness of their cause, gain valuable volunteers, and encourage students to get involved in something they are passionate about.

In the 2024/2025 academic year, we have welcomed the following organisations to our Helpdesk:

  • Feed Our Homeless
  • St. Michael's House
  • The HOPE Foundation
  • Dublin Community Support
  • Husky Rescue Ireland
  • Foróige
  • Enable Ireland
  • St. Vincent de Paul (SVP)
  • Barretstown
  • Pieta House

If your volunteer-involving organisation would like to participate in the Volunteer Helpdesk, please contact DCU's Student Volunteering Project Officer, Meadhbh Hannon (meadhbh.hannon@dcu.ie).
