After receiving her Bachelor of Engineering in Materials Chemistry from China University of Geoscience, she carried out her research in a unit of French National Centre for Scientific Research (LGC, UMR 5503, Toulouse) from 2012 to 2017 and obtained her PhD in Process and Environmental Engineering from Paul Sabatier University in 2015. In 2017, she secured the Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellowship from Irish Research Council to continue her postdoctoral research in UCD School of Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering. To pursue the commercialization of the outcome materials and techniques, she has applied for funding and worked on an Enterprise Ireland Commercialization Fund project. She received the post of Assistant Professor of Bioprocess Engineering in the DCU School of Biotechnology in 2022.
She published 11 research articles including 9 first-author ones in leading journals, including Top 10 citations publications and one featured on the cover of a leading journal, Chemical Engineering Journal. She has been awarded research grants from IRC, CSC and EI to support her research activities.
