Church of Ireland Centre

Staff Research

The Church of Ireland Centre is part of the DCU Institute of Education and is located on the DCU All Hallows' Campus. Its mission is twofold. Its purpose is partly to serve the Church of Ireland and Reformed Christian communities within the University, across the education sector and Irish society and to celebrate the culture, values and proud traditions of the Church of Ireland College of Education, through oversight for and custodianship of the archives and artefacts associated with the College's long history. Its purpose is also to speak an Anglican voice into the public square of the University and beyond.

Its current research interests and activities are focused on:

  • Minority faith community identity, culture and beliefs;
  • Anglican school culture and ethos;
  • Anglican voices in the public square;
  • Reformed Christian Religious Education;
  • Living, learning and working in small schools.
