The DCU Centre for Climate and Society is interested in partnering with other bodies, groups, and institutions on consultancies and training in the climate, biodiversity, and sustainability areas.

We bring core expertise on climate policy, communications, and media to our research.

The Centre’s members have been asked to consult on a wide range of policy and communications issues. The members’ work has been extensively cited in academic research and policy materials.

In 2022 the Centre delivered a 5-module climate literacy course to the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland. Over 100 broadcasters, from national outlets to community radio stations, attended. Modules covered include the fundamentals of climate science, the role of communications in social change, best-practice recommendations for journalists, climate in popular culture, and climate governance.
