Gender Equality Matters Conference 2021
The online GEM conference aims to bring together academics, teachers, student teachers, postgraduate students, health professionals, policy-makers, NGOs, parents and the wider education community, to engage in dialogue about gender equality with a focus on gender stereotyping, gender-based bullying and gender-based violence (GBV). Our approach emphasises participation and the sharing of innovative ideas, pedagogies and experience.
The keynote speakers are:
- Prof. Kathleen Lynch
- Prof. Anne Looney
- Prof. James O'Higgins-Norman
- Mr. Peter Dankmeijer
There will be 20 paper presentations and 4 workshops. Throughout the event there will be engaging activities for attendees such as social connection rooms, graphic harvesting, interactive whiteboards, video-clips and a gallery. The preliminary findings of the GEM project will also be shared.
The Gender Equality Matters (GEM) Conference is a free conference to attend. It is funded by the Rights, Equality and Citizenship (REC) Programme of the European Union.
