Accounting & Finance at DCU rises in global university subject rankings

This year, DCU has more subjects than ever ranked in the top 200 globally in the QS World University Rankings by Subject

Two subject areas at Dublin City University - Accounting & Finance and English Language & Literature - have advanced into the top 151-200 and top 101-150 of programmes worldwide respectively, according to this year’s QS World University Rankings by Subject.

The QS World University Rankings by Subject show DCU has improved in the arts and humanities broad global subject rankings, while social sciences and management overall has remained strong across categories like Politics & International Studies (ranked 151-200 globally) and particularly sports-related subjects (ranked 101-140). 

The QS World University Subject Rankings rank 1,559 universities across 55 subjects in 5 broad subject areas, creating over 18,300 ranked entries. These rankings are a measure of the quality of a university’s teaching and research, and are created using criteria such as academic reputation, employer reputation, the number of citations of research papers and also the H-index, a measure of the depth and breadth of a university’s research in specific subject areas.
