Engaging with Public Participation Networks (PPN) - Dublin City, Fingal, South Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Rathdown

DCU delivers Public Participation Network (PPN) training to empower community groups in Dublin City, Fingal, South Dublin, and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown to effectively engage in local decision-making.

DCU provides training to local groups and communities, registered with their local Public Participation Network (PPN), who wish to engage more effectively in their local Public Participation Network (PPN).

A PPN is a network that allows local authorities to connect with community groups. It allows for improved consultation with citizens and gives them a greater say in local government decisions that affect their communities. PPNs are the statutory instrument for community involvement with policy-making at local level.

The training provided by DCU to such groups and communities demonstrates what to expect as part of a PPN consultation and how best to communicate their needs or concerns.

Public Participation Network Training for community members is provided in the Dublin City, Fingal, South Dublin and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council areas.
