DCU delivers Public Participation Network (PPN) training to empower community groups in Fingal, South Dublin, and Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown to effectively engage in local decision-making.

DCU provides training to local groups and communities who wish to engage more effectively in their local Public Participation Network (PPN).

A PPN is a network that allows local authorities to connect with community groups. It allows for improved consultation with citizens and gives them a greater say in local government decisions that affect their communities. PPNs are the statutory instrument for community involvement with policy-making at local level.

The training provided by DCU to such groups and communities shows them what to expect as part of a PPN consultation and how best to communicate their needs or concerns.

Public Participation Network Training for community members is provided in the Fingal, South Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council areas.
