A core task of any leader or manager is to effectively deal with conflict. How leaders choose to manage inevitable conflicts can make the difference between a highly-effective team and one that struggles.
In this workshop, we explore the dynamics of conflict, preferences in conflict management styles and the various skills that managers and leaders need in their repertoire to resolve workplace disputes. We will learn some practical steps to manage self and others facilitating more constructive engagement with greater confidence. This targeted, blended workshop involves completion of prework of 2.5 hours, including a LinkedIn Learning course and conflict-style online assessment.
After completing the workshop, you will be able to:
- define conflict and recognise conflict dynamics
- recognise and apply examples of constructive conversation skills
- apply the different conflict management styles.
