Most of us would like to make the world a better place. But would we know how to make it so? DCU students are encouraged to learn about social innovation and about creating sustainable, positive change, according to Lecturer in Entrepreneurship, Dr Emer Ni Bhradaigh. “It’s about encouraging students to be creative and innovative, to be engaged with the world around them and to have a global vision. We encourage them to address social needs in a businesslike manner.”

DCU is one of only two European universities to be designated as a Changemaker Campus by Ashoka U, and initiative that encourages social entrepreneurship in higher education. DCU is now recognised for achievements in this area alongside other Changemaker Campuses such as Brown University, Duke University and Cornell University.
