Dr. Darragh McCashin contributed to the WorldWise Global Schools panel session on Online Harms and Disinformation

Dr Darragh McCashin contributing to the WorldWise Global Schools panel session as part of an event launched by Minister Neale Richmond which explored online and offline harms, racism, far-right politics, and disinformation.

Dr McCashin participated in the first of two panel sessions at the organisation's School Leadership symposium event in April, on the subject: ‘Unlearning and Reconstructing: Global Issues influencing our school community and settings.’

Irish Aid’s WorldWise Global Schools (WWGS) is Ireland’s national Global Citizenship Education (GCE) programme for post-primary settings.

WWGS was set up in 2013 as the key channel through which Irish Aid support for GCE in post-primary settings is to be coordinated. The aim of the programme is to increase the number of post-primary settings engaging in quality global citizenship education by providing a comprehensive range of supports.

The Symposium for School Leadership is for Principals, Deputy Principals and Board members of Post-Primary Schools and Education Centres who have a Global Citizenship Education Programme or are interested in having a Global Citizenship Education Programme in their setting.
