Congratulations to DCU Psychology’s Dr. Catherine Fassbender, who appeared alongside Dr. Brian Pennie, PhD on the RTÉ docuseries Hooked: How Addiction Hijacks the Brain, which aired last night. Catherine discussed her research on the risk factors for substance and alcohol dependence, as well as the impact of addictive substances on the brain. A fantastic contribution to public understanding of addiction.
