Registry New Student FAQ

New Students to DCU

Each new student to DCU is allocated a unique Username and Password that is used to log into your DCU email address, DCU systems and to register for your course. New students will be sent a communication to outline how to access this username and password, (Please check your spam folder if you have not received the communication email). It is very important that you take note of your username and password once it is set up during this process. Please also sign up for Easypass. Once signed up, you can use this online service in future to reset your password, provided you have your username.

Returning DCU Students

If you are a returning student and have your username, you can use Easypass to reset the password. You must have logged in to Easypass before in order to use this service.

In the event you cannot remember either your username or password or have not previously logged on to Easypass, please contact Information System Services (ISS).

Got a question about your username and password? Please email onboardingqueries@dcu.ie.

All DCU students must register fully online for their course. Use your Username and Password to register online using this link:

*This email will be sent 2 - 3 days after you have registered and paid your fees.

For students registering in August, this email will be sent to you in September.

Following completion of this process, an ID card will be issued by post in 3 to 5 working days.
