Academic biography

Dr Tracey Harrington, PhD, RGN, RNT, BNS (hons) Neonatal ICU, MSc in Exercise & Nutrition, is a lecturer in School of Nursing, Psychotherapy and Community Health in DCU. She has 13 years’ experience of teaching in a third level institution having taught undergraduate and postgraduate modules in immunology, sexuality, research modules and a wide variety nursing modules. She recently completed a Masters in Exercise and Nutrition at the University of Chester (2018). She was awarded a PhD from Imperial College, UK in 2002 following receipt of a PhD studentship from Imperial Postgraduate Research Awards.  Graduated with three publications in high ranking journalsShe has been programme chair for the Post Registration in Children’s Nursing Programme (PRCN) (2011 – 2014) & Professional Development Framework (2007-2014).Her research interests are health and well being, sexual health, mental health, obesity and stigma and EHeatlh and Digital Pedagogy.
