Overview

DCU Access operates a Cycle of Engagement, offering post-primary students opportunities to engage with DCU from the Junior cycle through to the Leaving certificate. Access students receive a range of post-entry supports and have the opportunity to support their younger peers as student ambassadors.

Our Outreach programme at DCU aims to promote and enhance the progression of students who are most under-represented in third-level education.

With collaboration and support from other DCU departments, and corporate, and community organisations, we aim to make equitable access to third-level education a reality for students with fewer opportunities.

The purpose of our programmes is to:

  • Elevate the ambitions of students facing financial and social challenges.
  • Promote and increase their progression to third-level education.

Our team of Student Ambassadors plays an invaluable part in supporting our programmes and acting as positive role models to their younger peers.
