welcome to the rf modelling and simulation group

Welcome to the homepage of the Dublin City University RF modelling and simulation group. This site outlines some of our research interests and presents a selection of research results. The group consists of two members of the school of electronic engineering academic staff along with several postgraduate students.

We are always interested in hearing from suitably qualified persons interested in pursuing postgraduate or postdoctoral work. It is also hoped that undergraduate students will find the information on the following pages of relevance to their studies. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any queries you may have.

Our main areas of interest / expertise lie broadly in the area of computational electromagnetics and circuit modelling. We have strong links with many third level institutions who work in this area, most notably the Radio Propagation Group in Trinity College Dublin.

Some research topics include:

  • Wave propagation modelling and related problems for wireless systems
  • Acoustic wave propagation modelling
  • Acceleration methods for integral equation analysis of scattering and antenna problems
  • Asymptotic methods for scattering and antenna problems
  • Efficient time and frequency domain analysis of high frequency circuits Modelling and simulation of interconnects
  • Simulation of nonlinear circuits
  • Power Systems
  • Power system transient analysis
  • Electrical load forecasting
  • Power Electronics

Please use the options on the side frame to navigate the site and learn more about our activities. This site is still under construction at present so please contact us or return in the future if you require more details on our activities.
