The Faculty of Engineering and Computing consists of three schools; Computing, Electronic Engineering and Mechanical Engineering:
- Over 1940 current Students with approx. 35% international Students
- Over 100 Research Students
- 9 Undergraduate programmes
- 10 Postgraduate programmes
- 261 academics, technical and admin staff
- Hosts or participates in a number of large scale research centres, including: INSIGHT (Data Analytics), ADAPT, Entwine and I-Form
- DCU has been ranked 19th in the world and first in Ireland for its graduate employment rate
- An average of 296 research publications per annum
- An average of externally generated research expenditure of over €56 million per annum (2013/17)

- The Faculty of Engineering and Computing were successful as partners in 3 SFI-Funded Centres for Research Training to support approximately 80-100 PhD students, over a 4-year intake, in areas of AI, machine learning and digitally enhanced reality.
