DCU Postgraduate Accommodation Scholarships

Rental expenses in the Postgraduate Centre for one year

Eligible:

• Scholarships will be awarded to research students in the first year of their higher research degree

• Candidates must be nominated by a member of the academic staff at DCU who agrees to act as the applicant’s supervisor while they are pursuing their Masters/Ph.D. degree at DCU.

• The proposed supervisor must submit a one-page description of the research project to be conducted at DCU together with supporting material indicating the sources of living expenses and fees for the applicant.

Duration:

1 Year

Assessment Criteria:

• Level of the undergraduate degree including ranking within group.

• Quality and impact of project work.

• Enhancement of the social environment of the undergraduate institution.

• Excellence or innovation in research or education.

• Work experience.

• Acquisition and dissemination of advanced skills.

• Contribution to the development of their peer group or alma mater.

Closing Date:

Tuesday, 1st July 2008.  There will be another call at a similar date in 2009.
