Declan Wallace, Assistant Chief Executive Culture, Recreation and Economic Services

 

 

Declan Wallace has spent almost his entire career in Dublin City Council except for a brief spell in Mayo County Council. He has worked in every Division of the City Council, with the exception of Human Resources. Since September 2016, Declan has been Assistant Chief Executive with responsibility for Culture, Recreation and Economic Services, having previously had responsibility for Environment and Transportation. His current role includes responsibility for the Library Service, Parks Service, Arts Office, Sports, Social Inclusion, Events, International Relations, Public Realm and Economic Services. He has responsibility for two Strategic Policy Committees - Arts & Culture and Economic Services / International Relations. Declan is a Director of the Little Museum of Dublin, the Temple Bar Cultural Trust, a member of the City Centre Business Forum and the Board of the Hugh Lane Gallery.
